Dated : June 21, 2009

The two day LEED AP+ Exam Preparation Program at the American University in Dubai (AUD), organized from June 20-21, 2009, provides a primer on the structure and practice of the new LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) 2009 V3 rating system.

The objective is to impart an understanding of LEED and to build familiarity with the structure and key features of the sustainable development industry, so that the participants are successful in passing their LEED AP+ exams from the first time.

The program covers a number of key themes that encompass the different components of LEED certification, from pre-design to the ultimate award of the LEED certificate, and is presented by industry leaders from the engineering, architecture, construction management and LEED consulting professions.

Teaching Methods
To support a collaborative learning environment, the program faculty members invite discussion and encourage questions. This open platform sheds light on current issues and trends, and uncovers new strategies for success not just on the exam day but also throughout the professional development. The program uses a combination of interactive case-based teaching, formal lectures, and sample exams to prepare the participants for high scores on their LEED AP+ exams. During case analysis, the participants review and debate decisions faced by LEED APs in real project situations.
