Student Organizations



Engineering Student Association (ESA)

The Engineering Student Association (ESA) at the American University in Dubai (AUD) was founded in October 2003. The association serves many purposes, but mostly focuses on improving the quality of campus life for engineering students. ESA organizes numerous social and charity events throughout the year, liaises with the School administration regarding students needs and concerns, and assists new engineering students throughout their transition into the engineering programs.

The Engineering Alert, an ESA publication, is a newsletter edited by AUD engineering students. It focuses mainly on issues of interest and concern of the Engineering students at AUD.


Civil Engineering Students Association (CESA)

The Civil Engineering Students Association was established in 2007 as the first student association in the field of Civil Engineering in Dubai. The purpose of CESA is to promote civil engineering and scientific knowledge, to participate in activities related to civil engineering, and establish an environment that will provide information and assistance to students by students.


Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE)

IEEE is a leading professional association for the advancement of technology in the field electrical and electronics engineering. The student branch at AUD was formed in 2005 with the aim to provide students with essential technical knowledge through seminars, field trips, workshops, competitions, and study tours.
