About the School of Engineering

The School of Engineering at the American University in Dubai provides students with a unique opportunity to experience American-style engineering education in one of the fastest growing and most diverse metropolitan areas in the world. The School’s educational experience provides students with the knowledge needed for technical excellence in engineering, while emphasizing the role of general education, ethical and social responsibility, and life-long learning in the personal and professional growth of future engineers.

The School offers undergraduate programs leading to Bachelor of Science degrees in Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. Our curricula are supported by state-of-the-art labs and facilities, a diverse group of faculty with outstanding expertise and solid ties with the professional community. With local and international accreditations in place, and through a broad education grounded in cultural diversity and technical excellence, our graduates continue to be highly sought at both the regional and global levels.

Strategically situated in the west suburbs of Dubai, the AUD campus adjoins Media City, Internet City and Dubai Marina, and is located within a mile from the Palm Jumeirah, The World Islands, and Jebel Ali Free Zone.
